Happy Birthday Martin Chambers. That mutton choppped drummer who’s watched Chrissie Hyndes ass since 1978. This guy has lost 2 band mates in Farndon and Honeyman-Scott yet with Hynde kept The Pretenders a viable entity. Despite a short and understandable break, well deserved after such trauma Chambers got behind that kit. Thank you for that.
I do wonder why he sits behind plexyglass live. Anyone know why? I was a bit too mesmerized by Chrissie to really watch closely but I do recall it strange.
Chambers left the band again in 2009. Most recently he sat in for the Mott The Hoople tour… cool ay?
