I like Brooklynvegan (I steal from em all the time) a lot and always have. Not mad keen on the rock writing but for news about the new york music scene they are just about unbeatable.
So I question em here not with the aggressive dislike I have for pitchfork but a kinda wanting an honest answer.
Doesn’t promoting concerts by bands brooklynvegan report upon, ruin their objectivity. If you are gonna get a cut of the door with a band, why would you write negatively about said band? Wouldn’t that be somewhat self-destructive?
