Did Britney Spears just grow up? The inevitable one way time machine of life seems to have caught up with the train wreck who went from Disney and Justin to teenage pop tart thru married trainwreck, break down and now at 30 years old has announced her engagement to ex-manager cum actor Jason Trawick.
And somewhere between all that strangeness, this time around she seems steadier, a little less successful, a little more manufactured, a little better off. And finally off the radar and out of the Lohan league of national disaster.
Spears has always had an ability even if the question was abibility to do what: there has been something bizarrely manipulated in her persona and certainly since Circus, a feeling of pop star by commity. In order to retain her sanity (not to mention her sanity) The joy of dance pop is the strings don't show so you can never quite see how or what is pulling them. The good news there is that it allows producers to hide in plain sight. The question is, if Brit has been irrelevant in her career, then why Spears?
There is no doubt there is a lot of lipsynching in Brit's live performance, no doubt sge is more CEO than anything else in her musicial career.
But that appears to have allowed her to relax into her life.
The woman who screamed at a fan "I'm not who you think I am" is who we think she is. Good for her.
