Brian O’Connor, the bassist of the Eagles of Death Metal has been diagnosed with cancer on June 16th and like many musicians, he does not have a medical insurance. A lot of bands (Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures and Rage Against the Machine) have united to raise money to cover his medical expenses.
Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal have announced a benefit show at club Nokia in Los Angeles. The show is scheduled for August 12th and the tickets go on sale this Friday, July 16th. Them Crooked Vultures has already played a benefit a few days ago in London.
