What the hell is Boy thinking? Last we saw him he was sweeping the streets of nyc in an orange jumpsuit as a guest of the legal system and now? Boy George is covering Lana Del Ray.
I used to think Boy George was cool as hell. Great voice and for a bit he sorta resembled Brooke Shields in 'his day' he was able to cross over some amazing sounds. Such a fabulous voice that Culture Club were able to rise above the gender bending role. For as many people who dis'sd his amazing cosmetic work were twice as many belting out 'you're my lover not my rival', as song "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me".
But the neon 80's crashed and Boy lost his cool in a snuff pot. Oh well. So an album of some of Boy George's favorite covers? Yup.
The album will be the singer's first release on his new self-owned label and will be made available through his site.
Its not horrible, but it does sound as if there is no energy. Maybe he needs a can of Monster or something. He sounds sad, the whole song sounds sadder than ever. Wonder what other covers the album will offer, they gotta be better than this.
