Maureen O'Dowd , New York Times columnist, performed a hit job on Dylan's China tour, claiming he played to the politburo (I know, mixing my communist regimes) and allowed the gioverment to censor his setlist.
Dylan responded thus on his website: "As far as censorship goes.the Chinese government had asked for the names of the songs that I would be playing. There's no logical answer to that, so we sent them the set lists from the previous 3 months".
So I know I was questioning it and really, it does sound a bit weird, but you wanna take on Dylan on a question of integrity? I mean, Zim is NOT Bruce Springsteen and 200 hundred acres and a mule.
