After Blur played their reunion tour and called it a career in the UK last year, I thought we were screwed Stateside. Despite having seen the band as early as 1994 (at the late lamented Academy) and as late as the Thirteen tour (a great, underrated album) apparently the Parklife boys had no interest Stateside after trouncing Oasis not with Gorlilaz but with "Song 2".
Well guess what? If you're a Blur fan and live in the UK it SUCKS TO BE YOU. This is what Damon Alburn had to say: : "We think there might be an audience for us over there [in America]. We've always wanted to play in America again. I just don't know if anyone would want to see it [in the UK] again – they've seen it already haven't they? Do people genuinely want to go through that again? We've got nothing new."
Godd, screw the English, they've had their moment now sod off…
