Noel Gallagher has made peace with someone, newsworthy or not, you don't hear something like this every day! As we reported earlier this year, Gallagher and Blur frontman Damon Albarn are now in good terms as Gallagher explained in a recent interview:
‘It was a great relief. I'm glad I've seen him and shook his hand and apologized for all the shit’… and who was really responsible for all the shit? He does not elaborate.
Last October, NME reported that the two hadn’t ‘spoken in over 15 years following the war of words between Blur and Oasis which kicked off in 1995 when they went head-to-head in the UK's singles chart and the former beat the Manchester band to Number One with their hit 'Country House'.
They sound like children, really. But the most amusing part of the interview is probably when the perfidious NME reporter asked Gallagher if he would rather work with Radiohead or Albarn, to which the Oasis guy responded:
‘If I was gonna make a record, it'd be Damon. For a start, he's as mad as a box of frogs. Number two, he'd get loads of hip-hop dudes working on it, which itself would be fucking mental. And number three? It would be a better record.’
First of all, he would have to bury the hatchet with Radiohead to even consider a collaboration, didn’t he call them ‘an odd bunch’ who ‘have been making the same record since ‘Kid A’ in a Rolling Stone interview last summer?
These Gallagher brothers will never stop to entertain me, and this has nothing to do with their music.
