Black Veil Brides Uses Fake Amps At Warped Tour

What the !?

Black Veil Brides is on Warped Tour this year, and, well, there’s already scandal revolving around ‘em.

There was a picture taken by a friend The Bronx’s drummer of BVB doin’ their thing at Warped.  This was all well and good, until you looked a bit closer at the posted pic.  The caption read, “A friend of mine took this photo at warped tour.  This is what the kids are calling “rock n roll” these days.  I’m lighting fire to every drum I have and becoming an investment banker.”  The band was using fake amps.

Now, this isn’t the first time it’s been done, so we can’t just hate on BVB for it.  Warped ’12’s Of Mice and Men used fake amps, too.  Now all they’ve been doing is getting crap for it, and Andy responded with, “Hey guys, we use staging in our stage show.  Also these are tattoos, I wasn’t born with the batman logo on my arm.”  Now it’s not like they were faking it; they were truly playing.  However, their equipment was plugged directly into the PA system, which is a much quicker and safer practice for big outdoor festivals than lugging amps around.

I personally don’t see anything wrong with it.  They’re still playing live and they’re still entertaining their fans.  They wear makeup and dress up weird, so why not have some other artificial elements to the mix?  It’d look weirder if they had no “amps” at all cos at that point they could be accused of faking it.

Everyone needs to just let this go.  BVB sucks anyway.
