Black Lips On Daytrotter, And J. Masci For That Matter

Daytrotter are busy. The Chicago based analogue studio cum website have sessions by Black Lips, Never Shout Never (already written about here) , J. Masci, and Dawes.

I had essentially dismissed the new Arabia Mountain but this Black Lips session is turning me around and I have just finished it off on itunes in the assumption that I got unlucky with the two albums I bought.  Grade: A

The J. Masci is, as always, a treat and I am wondering how to check him out and Beady eye at the same time. I don't think I can do it. Grade: B+

Never Shout Never is in blues mode and not my ttaste though Helen liked it and it is growing on me. Mean harp on "Homesick Blues". Grade: B

And Dawes are a gread modern pop rock band. Grade: B+
