Billie Ray Armstrong has enetered rehab following a meltdown at the IHeartRadio gig after being flashed a one minute warning twenty minutes early because Usher needed more time for his performance.Apparently, that wasn't true.
A spokesman said: "Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong is seeking treatment for substance abuse. Green Day would like everyone to know that their set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those they offended at the iHeart Radio Festival in Las Vegas."
Green Day are on September from September thru January, apparently some of those dates are cancelled, though I am hoping we will still get the Barclay Center gig.
Armstrong has always beena volatile guy and it has never hit me for a second as an act. Chasing a car down Sunset Strip to beat on a kid who shouted Green Day sucks? Now that is extreme stuff if anything is.
It seems to be a time of apologies. First Amanda Palmer, now Billie Joe. I think they should have both stuck to their guns. Let's hope Armstrong is out soon and back on tour. I actually feel kinda bad for him.
