Beyonce's "Bow Down" and "I Been On" Reviewed

eBeyonce has released excerpts from two songs off the eagerly anticipated upcoming fifth album and I would absolutely split em in the middle. Which is strange because the half I am not obsessed with "I Be On" features god like genius The-Dream but it is a weird piece of sound blurbs with Bey's vocals screwed with so much and so deep she sounds like a guy. Plus, is that really her in the Willie D video? Actually, that's really her in the Geto Boys "Gangsta Put Me Down" (a great track, try it).

"I Be On" is weird BEYond belief and I wonder how or even if it will fill up the gaps on her next open. "Bow Down" is awesome and it is as simple as that. This time they trick out her voice like a chipmunk before Beyonce takes on the haters everywhere. Hit-Boy, the guy behind "Niggas In Paris" uses a similar stop start effect, vocals being messed with beyond belief

The two tracks together adds up to Bey telling the world,  yet again, that she is in fact the real thing. Which between on e thing and another seems a little insecure. I mean how much bowing down does the Queen Bey .

The first part is a perfect mix of popular and out there and the second half doesn't really work for me.

This is what Missinfo.com had to say: "our boy Illionaire tweeted that Timbaland actually produced the second part of this song, “I Been On.” Really interesting! It has all the classic Houston vocal effects and swangers sounds on that side. So the “Bow Down” part is produced by Hit Boy and Planet 6. While “I Been Down” is produced by Timbo, Polow da Don, Sonny Digital, with The Dream as well. A lot of producers for 3:34 minutes of music; )"
