Beyonce at Roseland!!!

Good pix right?

Yeah I didn't take it, this is what I took

and with that in mind, hey, that's at least one reason I was less than thrilled by Beyonce's concert.

It sounded great but I couldn't see a damn thing.

The B Factor got on stage at 10pm (thank God I didn't go Sunday, I managed to figure out when she would be on) and I knew exactly what she's be playing. And she was great but irritating. I hate Roseland and I didn't get to see a damn thing All I saw was people's heads. Why did I pay $120 to see some bald bloke right it front of me. And have you noticed? Nature abhors a vacuum, so every time I moved, tall people took the opportunity to get in my way.

Still, Beyonce, leading an all girl orchestra, had her moments. Number ONE???? A killer "Crazy For You". Plus, I don't care where you are standing, it is worth hearing Jackson 5 sung by a woman with that much range.

The first track off 4 is "1+1" and it was the single best live moment of the year, Beyonce slithers and sighs her way through it, and the audience screams so much I thought maybe  Jay-Z had wandered on stage. Maybe he did. I wouldn't have known the difference.

It was a really great and bothersome set. Why not Beacon? Why can't I see a damn thing?? She looks (I assume, from pix I've seen) terrific and she sings (this I do know) much better than I give her credit. Her range is huge and she is impressive like Diana Ross impressive.

The set was a raging smart set; I listened in awe. Beyonce completely rulled the stage and she sang perfectly from song to song. But it wasn't worth the bucks. I'm spoiled, I figure if I pay a hundred bucks plus I deserve to be turned on. I ended wearily sitting in the foyer because I didn't wanna break my neck to see not a damn thing.

I really hate Roseland.

It is fucking flat.

All you can do is almost end up in punch ups, apologize for standing on people's feet and regret the day you were born. I've seen Beyonce as far back as her Destiny Child's days and I have never seen her worse

Not vocally, not musically, but SEEN HER. I caught her last time she was at MSG and had a better time. Music is about HAVING FUN. It was so annoying, if I pay a hundred bucks I expect to see AND hear. Beyonce is getting better and better. 4 is the second best album I've heard this year. There was no downside, it was completely consistent. No mid gig lull. I hope she tours on this set because I'd go again BUT NOT AT ROSELAND.

A third of the way through she hit the album and played it from one end to another and was purely brilliant but I spent the majority of it sitting on the floor playing Tetris.
