1. Clear Heart Fulls Eyes – Craig Finn – Yes, it is early in the process and if he sucks when I see him live (tonight as I write) I may change my mind. But as we speak, this album feels like a fleshy masterpiece and an eternal struggle. Olus? Some of the music and all of the words are killer.
2. God, Love And Romance- Fred Hammond – I realize taking off all the sketches when I listen to it is cheating. BUT if you do take off all the sketches it is an amazing album of modern r7B.
3. How About I Be Me (And You Be You) – Sinead O'Connor – Superb and yet just another Sinead album.
4. A Different Kind Of Truth – Van Halen – A ridiculously good modern heavy metal album.
5. Attack On Memory – Cloud Nothings – The hard rock album to beat.
6. Some Nights – fun. – Concept album about fun. Not having fun.
7. Feel the Sound – Imperial Teen – Timeless pop punk band still have it together.
8. Mr. M – Lambchop – Still on the fence but it may last.
9. Born to Die – Lana Del Rey – Surprisingly good look at the shallowness of desire.
10. Tim EP – Deer Tick – Very impressive alt rock
