Last Monday night, Ben Harper played a benefit special show at the Mint, in order to raise money for Babette Ho, who is suffering from cancer. She is the wife of Jeff Ho, Zephyr surfboard maker and part of the team which was the subject of documentary films ‘Dogtown and Z-Boys’ and ‘Lords of Dogtown’.
Harper was joined by numerous special guests including: Jackson Browne, Joan Osborne, Tom Morello, and Tal Wilkenfeld. I did not go, the show sold out fast, but it would have been cool to see all these people in such an intimate place.
