Another iconic band from the 60s will be back for the Holidays, but unlike the Rolling Stones, they can’t come up with a super-expensive tour anymore. Rather, some Beatles pop-up shops will hit the road on November 13th!
To celebrate the release of the complete collection of the Fab Four’s remastered studio albums on vinyl, customized double-decker buses – I suppose like the red ones you see in London, but they may be black this time – will stop in the streets of Los Angeles and New York, carrying the 14 vinyl LPs! According to the LA Times, this includes the 12 original UK LPs, plus a double LP pressing of Past Masters, a collection of various B-sides and non-album tracks. A deluxe box set edition containing a 252-page book, the CD versions of the albums, as well as DVDs and Blue-Ray discs of their films will also be available. The Box set is already listed on Amazon and will be on sale on November 13th for $179.98, a total deal! The shops on wheels will also give a unique t-shirt, featuring a different design for each city, to customers having made a minimum purchase at the shops.
As usual, this is all programmed for unemployed people! People stuck at work will miss it,… not that I wanted to buy some Beatles vinyl (I don’t do vinyl) but why is this not happening on a weekend?
And to finish with that, there will be listening parties all over the country, the same evening,… All right, I understand that these are remastered albums but people will really meet to listen to … the Beatles?
