The Beastie Boys were the party boys of the 80's. Brass Monkey, No Sleep Til Brooklyn Fightin For Their Rights.. and then, well…
They did that "Sabotage'' junk and I walked away.
The band was always semi together and with health scares and growing pains continued to be active members in the musical community. Just recently their single, "Make Some Noise" leaked. The single from, Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 2, available April 11.
Do you think it was a legit leak this close to release date? I think leaks are intentional. Seriously what is the harm? Gets folks excited of things to come gets posts written up gets pictures searched and in this particular case— adds on some video hits for their side project.
Saturday we posted the Beastie Boys trailer. (click the link if you wanna see it). But what is this video? Its a parody film with Will Ferrell, Jack Black, Seth Rogan and others. A bizarre sort of Back To The Future video. I don't have the same type of humor as this band. Their videos always annoy me more than please me.
But the song is actually pretty fun. To my ears it sounds a bit dated but then again my ears are somewhat dated and hell don't kid yourself the BAND is somewhat dated.
So, how is it?
Fight For Your Right – Revisited a new 30 minute mini movie (just curious where this will play? As warm up for their live shows? Not sure) has a rather annoying trailer, it does let you hear some snips of the song in between the beer humor of its featured players
