Band of Horses is a band I got hip to via XM Radio back when I loved satellite radio
Is “There a Ghost in My House”, a song with a melodic trance vocal that rises with the music is one that seems to get played alot. When you miss someone you love there are certain songs that just hit the heart just right. For some reason today, I’m listening to this. They call themselves ‘folk rock’ but I don’t see that. There is far too much bass going on to be folk and well I don’t hear anyone blowing into a jug. Apparently they haven’t had a release since 2007 either but they’re worth backing up for.
Beautifully arranged melodies with a bearded vocal (Michael Michael fleet foxy a bit really give um a go)
‘No Ones Gonna Love You’- is a song that has a rough title but an amazing message. Here’s some winter music for ya. Melancholy and introspective. The difference here is that despite the grey the songs are beautiful and uplifting. This song actually is a long distance dedication. Ill be self serving in posting this for only personal reasons.

Rumor has it they’re going to record more but I haven’t seen it nor heard it. Hiatus? No cuz theyre touring out West. “Cigarettes and Wedding Bands” is featured in Guitar Hero 5, WTF WITH THE VIDEO GAME STUFF!….But when you’re looking for something to sorta give you an audio hug Band of Horses can do that. Beards and all.
