Bajah And The Dry Eye Crew “Wonderful” Or Not So Much? By Mary Magpie

The song “Wonderful Time” by Baja and the Dry Eye Crew is pretty interesting.
The singer’s voice is obviously tinted by some odd, foreign accent that I can’t quite put my finger on, but it’s not horrible. The song is done completely acapella except for a picked stand up bass, which is weird because where’s the crew and what do they do?
It’s not good, but not so bad that I’d rip my eyeballs out, which is a relief.
I don’t even know of any other acapella artist, which makes this very unique. It’s not a song I’d listen to again if I had the choice, but it didn’t put me in a bad mood. It’s just really really weird to hear a song withoutsuch minor instrumentation backing it up.
It was a new experience, but a bizarre one. Still, I’d rather listen to this obscure song before Meg and Dia or any other girl band any day.
