Awe Inspiring Tittus AT Bowery Ballroom By Iman Lababedi

If Patrick tends to take this show round the world I will never get within a mile of him again.
Last night Titus Andrononicus were breath taking.
I wish I could find someone else to wite this because you all know how big a fan I am and I must sound as though I am a sycophant and I am not. I love em because they have become this semi jam, hard as nails, rock experience.
When I saw em  13 months ago they weren’t this… they were stroppy young punks, a crazed 45 minute wonderland of sound. Now? Now they are playing with the big boys, taking from both albums (and a new song and if I had my notes I bet I could find out what it’s called), they moved the packed out kids  from indifference to delirium in the pace of a song.
But they don’t sound punk now. They sound like a jam band -they are all tangents and momements, and when Patrick puts is head down he looks like a thin Jerry Garcia.
If this is a lousy review I apologize… I deleted my notes (again) and I have my Cloud Nothing Ep (first band up who were excellent) and THE MONITOR cd which i plan to listen to again and again.
Also, I spoke at length to Patrick and also to the bloke who produced The Monitor and I bought this great green teeand will write about all three at some point.
I’ll give this review another shot and write about everthing elselse at a later date.
For now, absoutely awesome and Cloud Nine were brilliant.

And If you are not getting your dose of rock nyc blame Helen – Titus went ON STAGE at midnight and i’m going  to sleep.
