What is going on with Arcade Fire? Apparently they are cooking a surprise for September 9th at 9 pm, so be ready! An instagram account called Reflektor has been posting images with the same diamond-like graffiti depicted above, painted in the streets and buildings of cities all over the world (according to some street signs some are in Montreal). And this Instagram account is suddenly showing a new collection of pictures teasing with the date 9 (September) 9th at 9pm.
It has been more or less established before that this is a campaign for Arcade Fire’s upcoming album, which is probably entitled ‘Reflektor’. You can check the video posted on the website The Reflektors, and also featured on Instagram, showing someone drawing the strange street sign… so what can we expect on September 9th? The mystery is still intact, fan forums are speculating all over the place, dissecting every second of this cryptic video. September 9th is certainly not the date of the release of the album because we know it is set for October 29th, so could it be a secret show? But where? If they do another secret show, it has to be in Los Angeles, and I have to get in this time! Or could it be the release of their first single? Or may be just an announce for a world wide tour?
Everything is possible, but one thing is sure, Arcade Fire is a band that surrounds itself with a lot of mystery, and all this mystic campaign is excellent publicity for their highly anticipated 4th LP.
