In March of 2010 it’ll be three years since Arcade Fire released their last album, the excellent The Neon Bible. Since then the only new release I’ve heard has been last years song “Lenin” off the Dark Was the Night. Essentially, they took last year off.
So news from their label Mercury Records thatArcade Fire are recording in NYC for a new release in 2010 is something to get excited about it. This is a big album for them… three years is a long break and again makes sense of Radiohead’s return to EPs and even Lady Gaga getting new product out there so quickly.
