Twitter is a strange thing! Now to be-up-to-date on anything, you may develop a page-refreshing-OCD, constantly checking your tweets to know the latest on the hottest news of the day!
Since Monday, the numerous tweeter accounts of Arcade Fire, ArcadeFire, ArcadeFireNews, ArcadeFireTube, UsKidsKnow, plus Scott Rodger, their manager, have been scrutinized by thousands because of that secret Arcade Fire show in LA, announced earlier,.. and it was three days of intense suspense, with promises about details that were not coming.,. It’s funny because if you follow all these accounts they basically retweet each other constantly, and you get the tidbits of news repeated ad nauseam! And it is basically what I am doing here too, re-passing the news.
At last, ArcadeFire announced that the tickets for the secret show would go on sale at noon on Friday from 3 locations only, with no online sales,.. they even added ‘To avoid people sleeping outside, we will be staggering the info’.
There will also be a limit of two tickets per person, and both names have to be given at point of purchase, with ID to be shown at the venue for wristband collection.
Friday at noon, with no online sales, I’m fucked, because I work of course, so fuck all those unemployed hipsters who will be able to get a ticket.
We still don’t know where the show will be, but meanwhile the band will perform in KROQ studio today afternoon.
