Are you kidding me? Oh the horror. Well maybe not. Universal is creating a musical adapation of National Lampoons Animal House.By far one of the best college humour film of all time. John Belushi and Tim Matheson owned this movie. Who on Earth can fill those shoes? The story of a frat house about to be shut down and how they save the brotherhood.
I loved the film and I could see myself loving the musical if not for one thing…
The show is being scored by The Bare Naked Ladies. Maybe this could work if they are not performing. This is no more drone and annoying vocal than BNL. Direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw, (who also directed “The Book of Mormon” and “The Drowsy Chaperone.”) and Michael Mitnick to write the libretto for the stage production could save it, I suppose.
Wasnt there a time when movies were made from Broadway shows? When did it flip?
Why is this happening and will it ever make it to a stage?
