Amy Winehouse toxicology's results

The results are in, Amy Winehouse did not have any illegal drugs in her system when she died. This is what said a representative for the family:

'Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy's system at the time of her death. Results indicate that alcohol was present, but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death.'

Mitch Winehouse, the soul singer’s father, said to British media after his daughter’s death that she had beaten her drug addiction 3 years before she died, but was still struggling with her drinking problem:

‘She was trying hard to deal with her drinking and had just completed three weeks of abstinence, she said, 'Dad I've had enough of drinking. I can't stand the look on your and the family's faces anymore.'

So she was clean (of drugs), as these results seem to confirm it, her father again declaring to The Sun: 'This doesn't make me feel the loss of my daughter any less, but we are pleased to be able to set the record straight to a certain extent.’

Unfortunately, the family has to wait again to know what really caused the death of the singer on July 24th.
