If you have read this site in the past you may already be aware of my odd obsession with reality TV. I have no explanation why I want the most pathetic programs but I do.
One of the most idiotic is NBC’s The Apprentice. I seem to be drawn to the calculated drama as people fight for a job. I’m not as big a fan of the ‘Celebrity’ version.
Seems those celebs are always sobbing about some pet charity. I cannot stand seeing grown men cry cuz they’re so touched by children who were born with horns or women with degenerative gum disorder. OK, fine earn money for your cause spare me the drama. I swear seeing Lou Ferigno crying a couple seasons back nearly made me want to swallow anti freeze.
Hey guess who’s back? Bret Michaels..no no silly, not back from the dead but back on Apprentice and joining him Dee Snider. Making this upcoming Celebrity Apprentice the most pathetic yet! “All Star Celebrity Apprentice” as it will be called will bring back the dredge since apparently no new celeb wants jack to do with it. BUT I am pretty stoked that my boy Lil Jon will be there, he was fabulous on the first go round.
The show started filming last week and is slated for air in early 2013. A guilty pleasure perhaps but with Snider and Michaels I may actually have to sit this season out. Others involved are , Dennis Rodman, Marilu Henner, Gary Busy (God help us), Penn Jillette, Lisa Rinna(hate her), and Brande Roderick. Maybe there will be new episodes of Honey Boo Boo Child instead…
