I’m vaguely indifferent to Animal Collective -like a song here and there but, but I actively dislike Grizzly Bear. It’s like the Beach Boys for morons and the sound doesn’t hook me at all. It’s not that I haven’t tried, I bought three songs off Veckatamist and downloaded their daytrotter session and listened to their New Moon song and didn’t like any of em. You just KNOW they’re a straight drag live.
Phoenix may have something going for em but I’ve loathed them since catching the band on SNL early this year. An exception? The Litzomania remix is great but the album -dull stuff.
Kings Of Leon are to My Morning Jacket what Govt Mule are to the Dead. They may be the real thing but they are the real thing as a train wreck and they don’t know how to play arena’s, let alone stadiums.
Drake may well be the next big MC but he is sure a bland character. The “Forever” single was good but the So Far Gone EP was so ordinary a big pop move disappeared before your eyes.
Paramore peaked and backed back out. Hayley comparing herself to Gwen is a joke, actually, Hayley comparing herself to Jemina is a joke.
