Album Round Up

Kidz Bop 20 – Kids Bop Kids – OK, folks, I think we have reached the Jackie Evancho, kids are creepy children of the corn part. Talented exiles from K-Tel records "G rate" modern hits to no real end except making parents feel comfortable. from the shared vocal to "Rolling In The Deep" to, ahem, "Forget You" this is pointless. Grade: C+

Here I Am – Kelly Rowland – I expect it to kill and it does to a degree. But only to a degree. for all Kelly's many abilities, singing ain't one of them. The Guetta is real good, so is the Weezy. Grade: B+

Ritual Union – Little Dragon – Swedish dance, though lo-fier than what we're used to and with more soul to it. The beats are modern dubstep but the songs harken back to blue eyed soul. Grade: B

LP1 – Joss Stone – Tres old fashioned blues gal with great gams provides exactly what she always has: Janis Joplin with better complexion and nowhere near the voice. grade B-

The English Rivera – Metronomy – Over a song or two it is real cool electro pop but it keeps on getting more experimental and seems to blip along weirdly beyond belief. So I like it great, for ten minutes. Grade: B

2 Cellos – 2 Cellos – Lives Up to its name, especially on the awesome Pulp Fiction theme.
