Beastie Boy Adam Yauch had turned to Buddhism and mediation in recent years. Reportedly he frowned upon his image or the Beastie Boy name being used in advertising campaigns.
So is noted in his will that was filed this week leaving his 6.4 million dollar legacy to his wife and 13 year old daughter. As reported by DNAInfo the artists image will not be used in any posthumous advertising campaign.

The Beastie Boys following is as strong as ever. Seems everyone has a story about the guys or a song of there and for 3 white Jewish rock rappers that's a darn cool legacy. The "Fight For You Right, To Party", will live on as the rally cry to every half baked teenager-as well it should. I loved License to Ill, it it came around at the perfect time in music. Their later stuff didn't move me the same but that doesn't mean much they were a red hot success.
Yauch passed away due to salivary gland cancer this past May much to the sadness of his fans. He was alive to see his band inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
