Now, I have never been a Queen fan, never been to one of their concerts but I have seen enough videos of Freddie Mercury to know that his operatic flamboyance is not an easy one to replace, and honestly Lambert’s chords and presence are not cut for the role.
It is not enough to be gay and to be dressed up like a S&M prom queen, the guy has not a huge stage presence, and he takes too many liberties with the songs which just fall flat, especially he just can’t escape the American idol audition, and the whole thing sounds like a bore. Interestingly, something happens at 1:40 when he starts singing 'Bohemian Rhapsody', they actually show a video of Freddie Mercury, like an admittance that Lambert cannot hold the note?
