About Tomorrow: “You’ll Be Someone Elses Baby But I’ll Be Underground”

So a look into my (crystal) ball and here is my predictions.
Me: Death.
rock nyc: if I had 5K I could afford to blow, I would blow it on rock nyc. Till then, the first part of the rock nyc story is done and we are stuck on part two and not moving forward.
music sound: soon, somebody somehwere, is gonna reinvent pop by taking the various sounds and sticking em together. Hip Hop sensibility, dance technology, alt heart on sleeve and rock orchestration. 808s And Heartbreaks and Man On The Moon were not there yet and DP plus Solange was a cover song. B.o.B’s “Airplane” is the concept but the song was too weak. Everything needs to be better than what it is.
music distribution: i just can’t see how there is enough money in streaming to justifying the majors going all in. If there is a generation raised on streaming? Music ownership will go the way of TV programs ownership. You might buy some but you won’t buy most.
live music: as long as twenty somethings wanna dance, nightclubs will be fine. And really, given the technology, there is no reason why the amphitheatre can’t, in some way, modify the theatre experience for a large audience. And I believe VIP Seating, if you can afford it, well, why not? What I hate is $2.50 fees so I can print the ticket at home.
