A Sunset Tragedy: The Space, Hamden CT 2/7/11

When A Sunset Tragedy got onto the stage at The Space, I knew already that I was going to be impressed.  These guys have a raw and unique sound, and that’s rare to hear, especially with local bands.  Everybody’s always trying to be someone else- but not A Sunset Tragedy.  Genuine and talented, they captivated the crowd.

The more they played, the more I liked them.  I was blown away by not only the amount of talent, but their infectious melodies and beats.  Not only unlike anything I’d heard before, but unlike anything I’d ever think I’d like.  Usually I hate those hometown bands that sound just like All Time Low or whoever, trying to be something that will get them nowhere.  This was not the case with these guys.  They were making music they wanted to make, and I can see them playing way bigger stages in the future.

What a great find.  Check them out.
