Portugal. The Man has posted a new song from their upcoming album ‘In the Mountain In The Cloud’, and it is very catchy, symphonic, Beatles-Oasis-esque and everything else you would expect from this guys.
‘Sleep Forever’ starts slowly with guitars and vocals on reverb almost Sinead-O’Conor-style, and then soars into one of their sing-along anthem, ascending into a ‘I just want to sleep forever’, that, I must say you may catch a little bit too easily.
But why refusing your pleasure? The chords are great, melodramatic-bombastic but great, and John Gourley is sprawling his croon at the top of his lungs for at least 6 minutes:
