A Rock NYChristmas by Helen Bach

Baby its Cold Outside… and so to heat things up for you this holiday season I offer to you a Rock NYChristmas. Sure you can stick with ol’ reliables or you can shake things up a bit. You’ll be greatly rewarded (and the buzz of the water cooler) . For your holiday play list for this weekends party’s I offer

Fuck Christmas- Fear
I miss Lee Ving. He acted for awhile then fell off the planet (or my radar)

lyrics are easy! and catchy!
“Don’t despair, just because it’s Christmas.
Children, they’re all so gay at Christmas.
All the children on the street hope they get something good to eat.
But for me it’s not so great.
Fuck Christmas!”

woooooooo hooo pass the eggnog! Make this one a tradition.

Merry Christmas Baby, (I don’t want to fight tonight) The Ramones
Those Jewish boys from Queens make me want to scream with this annual classic. Great video if you can find it too.

I know I know.. I’m stuck in the 80’s but c’mon now that’s my decade! So in order to keep it current I solicited the help of my rocker boys to give up some new additions to my aging list.

August Burns Red – Carol Of The Bells
This is why Erik rules. We totally disagree on things (nearly to the point of blows) but when it gets right down to it we have really similar taste in music. PLEASE check this one out. Fucking Killer song by a relative unknown hardcore band. The drumming in this song is freaking SICK.

The Almost- Little Drummer Boy
Aaron Gillespie of Underoath’s little side gig produces revamped old classic.
The vocals mean it. This isn’t your school choir version. These are grown men who not only believe but sing with soul ooze. I especially dig the almost lone drum jam at the end. Kinda makes you wonder who the little drummer boy is.. could it be Mr. Gillespie himself? I love Underoath and thanks to this I love The Almost, PHEW cuz I presume Id get my ass kicked figuratively if i didn’t. Passionate music lovers are passionate to the death!

Ill work on more for next weeks parties.
