A Day In The Life by Todd Leibowitz

If only rocknyc writers can get paid for the stuff we do, we could’ve all chipped in and purchased the handwritten lyrics to the Beatles classic “A Day In the Life”.

But we didn’t. However, one lucky (and rich) person did.

The John Lennon handwritten lyrics was purchased at an auction at Sotheby’s today. The winning bid went to a private collector.
The pre-sale estimate was between $500K-$700K. The bidder and winner walked away with his prize for $1.2 Million.

I guess now he can join us rocknyc writers on the food stamp line at the local Food Emporium.
