Rock NYC writer Bobby Sciortino apparently has a thing for sample albums. Of the two who gave me, DJ Shadow’s seminal Endtroducing, and Sydney, Australia DJers the Avalanches aee both a collection of samples, stunningly woven together to form a new song.
The Avalanches Since I Don’t Have You uses 3500 samples to weave a taspestry odf stand alone tracks. And while “Little Journey” might not be the best it is my fave because it uses a speeded up same from

“A Little Journey” is all summer hols, lolly gagging on the beach, you can almost smell the sea water and feel the sun beating on your back.
From 2000 but go in search of it. Pretty terrific.
