So What Do Kids Listen to In Haiti? Parade Answered The Question Yesterday

Sure, I hate Mitch “the fiive People You Meet In Heaven/Tuesday With Morrie” Albom’s sacrosanct bullshit as much as you do. That doesn’t mean his article in the current parade isn’t interesting stuff.
In Haiti to help an orphanage, Albom was friended by the older kids when he happened to be able to find Jay-Z on his itunes at their request. But no Fitty. No Wycliff. And his attempts to turn the kids on to the Beatles and the Beach Boys was hardly a success.
It’s an okay story although Albom can’t help himself, he always sounds self-serving even when he is being as decent as humanly possible. My loathing of the mega US Haiti charities does not extend to small groups of people going off to help orphanages. The Caring And Sharing Mission are obviously good guys,
