Wow, in 2013 it feels like Governor's Ball is gonna be kicking Coachella's ass good! A festival that you can get to by car, bus, subway and ferry and with two headlners, Kanye West and Kings Of Leon, already pretty hot and heavy managed to not disappoint with their third headliner: Guns N Roses.
Among the many things this will force Gov Isle folks to do is start a bar just for Axl, also insure all the other artists again proximity by the wildest man in rock and roll in 2013.
I saw GNR around 8 years ago at Hammerstein Ballroom and take it from me pop pickers, Axl is the real deal. Plus, I might well be in tbhe minority here but I thought Chinese Democracy was a great, great album.
I couldn't be more excited to be going to this show ANYWAY plus, thuis makes it all that much better. I took a coupla days off work on either side and if the weather holds (and it is hard to think of summer at the start of the Blizzard of 2013) it should be a fabulous weekend of first rate music. Plus, honestly, if you are going VIP you can get pretty close to the stage. Close enough.
As for GNR, he always brings it though if he thinks I am waiting till midnight for an 8pm start he has another thought coming… just saying… Now whenare they gonna tell us what day everybody is playing!!!
