The 2013 Vans Warped Tour line up has just gained even more talent with the additions of Alvarez Kings, Chiodos, Young London, We Came As Romans, Reel Big Fish, and Beebs And Her Money Makers. Personally I can’t wait to see the show Reel Big Fish will put on, and my excitement at seeing Beebs and Her Money Makers is as boundless as the sea. Reel Big Fish is a well-known ska/rock band but Beebs&HMM is a group that is both little known and incredibly unique. Their sound is a weird rock/blues/hip hop mix that I have genuinely never heard before.
A lot of people have also been very excited by the announcement of We Came as Romans, who are fairly popular amongst fans of bands like A Day to Remember, Woe Is Me, and Of Mice and Men. The comments section on Warped Tour’s latest Facebook post is awash with people wishing more bands that sound like We Came as Romans would be added to the lineup. (editors note: I am SO proud of WeCAR for being on this years Warped. We have been following Josh and the guys for years now and its fantastic news!! -hb)
My Warped Tour Tip for this announcement is this: Don’t be an asshole. Now, I don’t mean to your fellow concert goers – cause who gives a shit, right – but rather the various Warped and band personnel you may come across. At the last Warped Tour I attended, I heard and saw so many kids being rude as fuck to security guards, merch sellers, and tour managers alike and that’s so beyond okay. If you don’t like that you’re not right up on the stage, or that a shirt is $20 when you think it should be $10, tough shit. Nut up. It’s Warped Tour. Being a dick to people who are trying to do their jobs doesn’t improve anyone’s Warped experience.
