Paul McCartneys Youtube page had this little ditty on it. Fans of course went all nutty wondering what it was all about. Well here it is- its a new ad campaing for 'Love Linda' a frozen food line made to vegetarian standards. Linda McCartney was a vigilant veggie as is Paul and her legacy remains and is now available for your plate.
Working alongside the Linda McCartney Foods brand. This is the first time in 15 years that the brand has done TV advertising. The TV commercial shows the McCartney family in full cartoon glory- and some cute animals too.
Elvis Costello, will provide the voiceover to the animation which in addition to the family, features a host of psychedelic animal characters.
Elvis Costello has been vegetarian since the early 1980's and had this to say about Linda McCartney and all she strove for; 'Linda always talked well and made it seem that you wouldn't be joining a secret weird society by being vegetarian'.
Secret and weird indeed. It seems vegetarianism is gaining momentum. I see more and more people converting and with companies such as Linda McCartney Foods brand its become very easy to drop teh death from your dinner. I havent tried any of her products but every bit helps and if you want to throw something in the microwave then do it and do it meat free.
The commercial is cute, I wish it had Costellos voice over but I suppose that's to be added. You'll start seeing the finished product on January 28th.
