Sorry there sportsfan the big clown ain't gracing Jersey this spring. A damn shame if you ask me but lets not get crazy this has nothing to do with Hurricane Sandy. The folks over at Bamboozle knew it wasn't going to happen, they just kept it on the down low.
Don't sob, they say it will be back in 2014. These things are never 'sure things', so don't get too hyped. We learned about the cancelation via the festivals Facebook “Happy holidaze Boozlers! We are sad to announce we will miss all of you in 2013 but keep your eyes peeled for 2014 info. Have a warm and safe holiday season!”
That's pretty cut and dry.The event will not be in Asbury Park in 2014 (if at all) but was reportedly planning to move prior to the storm. Like so many other festivals Bamboozle simply didn't turn a profit. Even with their Bamboozle road show it simply didn't earn the cabbage.
Some amazing bands have passed through this outlet. Snoop Dog and All Time Low, yep that's how diverse it is/was. Sad really. I fear festivals will start falling apart without some serious corporate sponsors. Is this why Warped Tour is hugging Fuse TV? Hmm gets ya thinking.
So this May you're free to roam about, no Bamboozle for you.
