Listen To The Excellent And Demolishing Sound Of Metz's New Track, 'Dirty Shirt'

Metz, the Toronto band which repeatedly manages to write songs with these fantastically loud sonic assaults, has a new track out. It’s called ‘Dirty Shirt’, and if you like their self-titled album, the song will not disappoint you! It’s a bombastic and aggressive charge on your eardrums with an infectious rhythm and some visceral tunneling screaming, that certainly reminds the best of Nirvana, empowered by a paranoiac high G-force and some astringent guitar-drums combination. All the instruments seem to reach some extreme in the loudness department, like a high-speed train determined to crash in a brick wall at the top of its acceleration.

The all-stressed-out cat picture above is actually the cover of the single, and you may get the same expression after listening to ’Dirty Shirt’, or you may just want to run as fast as you can or even break something in your house,… if this doesn’t remind you about the power of music I don’t know what will be!

The song is actually the B-side of the band new ‘Leave Me Out’ single, which will be released on December 4th via Sub Pop, and both tracks were in fact part of a limited 7-inch packaged with their 2012 full length ‘Metz'.

PS: I just blasted the track and my cat didn’t complain a bit!
