What did we do without Popdust? Popdust.com s a bright, exciting and vibrant website obsessed with all things pop and ever since I've gotten into K-Pop, I've haunted the website. It was Popdust who gave me a point of entry into 2NE1 and now, the fabulous Juniel.
Dubbed the Korean Taylor Swift for her soft sweet songs of romantic malaise, her My First June EP is just about flawless chick pop, all melody all the time. "Ready Go!" is already a pop song to beat in 2012 and if some of the other tracks can get too deep into the batrhos, and if her vocals aren't all that, it works any way!
Juniel has worked in pop music since she was a child (which she still is, she's 19 now) and released her first record when she was 16 in Japan. She broke K-Pop last year with the awesome "Ready Set!" and has a new release which I can find, "1+1" which includes what looks like her breakthrough hit.
