Nikki Sixx "The Heroin Diaries" Heading To Broadway

There was a time when going to a Broadway show was a swanky affair.  'Going to the theater' was so hi brow!  Now people go in jeans or worse and the only thing 'high' about it is the ticket costs.

How about the quality of shows?  We now have remakes of movies.  I suppose we always have but we have remakes of bad movies.  Somehow setting them to music makes them 'hit musicals'.  Weird.

The 2007 book by Motley Crue's bassist Nikki Sixx 'The Heroin Diaries' will soon join the ranks of 'Shrek The Musical' and even 'West Side Story'.  Why?  What makes this worthy of the Great White Way?

Sixx at age 43 has had a whole lot of living and has a whole lot of story but how about a movie?  I mean doesnt that make more sense?  While I am at it what the hell is on his chin?!

Sixx tweeted: "I've been getting asked this a lot lately. The answer is: Yes,"The Heroin Diaries" book is being turned into a Broadway play."
He continued: "More news to follow in the next few months….Were getting pretty far down the road…We hope for a late 2013 or early 2014 for it to open."

Jesus God no.  I have a real issue with things like this.  Off Broadway, maybe.. but Broadway?  This tarnishes everything about the mystique and grandeur of the theater experience itself.  I blame 'American Idiot" and the idiots of America for allowing the dumbing down of an institution.

Lets hope the deal falls through…please.
