Wee! I love these guys! We Came As Romans those pesky hardcore kids with the positive attitude (cuz they aren’t a Christiancore band!) have made a fantastically fun video for a change.
Always so tough and growly they offer up this summer romp cover of The Wanted’s “Glad You Came”. I am an absolute sucker for this type of stuff. The song is done in true form with fantastic bursts of scream- it’s the best of all worlds.
Joshua Moore is the poster kid for upbeat in adversity. After some gnarly health scares and the sheer stress of the rock business he lands on his feet and he is always smiling. When we met up with him a few years ago I was stunned by his sincere happiness and triumphant spirit. The kid gets a lot of hate from the hardcore community- A LOT. So it really impresses me that he continues on nearly oblivious to the naysayers
His quote to FuseTV on this video: "We've always done really serious music videos, normally with storylines and a bunch of production, but for a while now we really just wanted to do a fun video. Just us hanging out and being ourselves, just being the normal guys that sometimes people seem to forget musicians are. So we had a ton of fun filming ['Glad You Came'] with our friend Justyn [Moro, the director], and we hope you enjoy viewing it as much as we enjoyed making it!"
