Imagine the Doors, the Cure and Echo and the Bunnymen beat up ELP and put it to sound and you’ve got this brilliant fucking song. Oh, and throw in the Dream Syndicate. That’s a handful of shorthand for Atlanta, GAs great Untied States.
When people say, oh music was better in whatever decade I think they’re insane and I think they are insane because bands like Untied States take the envelope of what rock should be and shove it down your throat.
A perfect mess, which moves through section and themes as confidently yet detached as you can. It is like a no new york for today.
I’ve been listening to the new album Instant Everything, Constant Nothing but I just don’t have the time to give it what it deserves. I’ve still love all of it but there are two types of bands in the world… those who can use the word “entropy” and make you love em and those who can’t and we all know who Untied States is.
