FIDLAR's New Track, 'AWWWKWAARRRDDD', Featuring British Songwriter Kate Na$h

I have followed Fidlar since I saw them at the Echo on a 4th of July a few years ago, their punk energy fueled by beer-and-skateboard-parties was certainly remarkable enough to get interested, and I am going to see them again at the end of this month for a release party of their self-titled debut album, which will only be available on January 22 in the US and February 4 in the UK.

Yesterday, the band posted a new track called 'AWWWKWAARRRDDD' on their Tumblr, and, surprisingly, it’s a collaboration with British singer-songwriter Kate Nash,… or may be it should not be a surprise since Kate has previously covered their song ‘Cocaine’,… I had no idea!

The new song (that you can listen to below) is however kind of a contrast with what they have previously done, it’s far less crazy underage-drinking-abandon and more going-in waves-soaring-anthemic chorus about teens’ reflections about… awkward love, what else? However the song won't figure on their upcoming LP, whose tracklist has been posted by NME:
