Happy Birthday Our Tireless Leader. Thats a lie, the guy is always tired and with good reason. Iman Lababedi attends about 12-15 concerts a week writes 8 posts a day and actually manages to hold down a job. Passionate about music in every realm his opinionated bark is only diluted with the kindness of his spirit. As much as a hard ass as he appears to be is quite honestly one of the kindest and generous people on earth. So on behalf of your incredible staff… have a restful day!
"Another trip around the sun for our good ol' chum,
We're the only crew of people that will see him and won't run,
Always calls it how he sees it; kicking ass, then taking names,
In the land of New York City music, he's surely in the hall of fame,
Thanks for the life lessons, the pizza, and the direction,
Thanks for Disneyland tickets and help me move closer to my "perfection",
Glad to call you my friend Iman, Cheers!
Next time we have a party, I'll bring the beers, I'll bring the beers- Woody "
"May your birthday rock harder than "Born to Run," be funkier than "Sex Machine," and be filled with more debauchery than a 1971 Led Zeppelin backstage party. And, if that happens, please write about it.-Steve"
"You saved us youngins' from the big scary nightmare that is New York City and gave one of my best friends Henry and I an experience of a lifetime. You are dedicated to what you do, and truly an inspiration to many. You are one of the handful of people who have the biggest heart, and has never given up on me no matter how badly I screw up. I can't thank you and Helen enough for all the great events I've experienced in the past year writing for Rocknyc. Iman, Happy Birthday, go get plastered! Love, Layna."
" Iman, you are a fantastic writer and an even more fantastic person in general. I will never stop thanking you for being there for Layna and I as we tried to make our way to Camp Bisco! Happy Happy Birthday!!-Henry"
Do something special, go to a concert to celebrate, oh but wait a minute, you do that every day, so do something else… with all your music connections you should at least be able to share cake and champagne with Beyonce or Corin Tucker! Alyson"
