There is a long story between the Jackson family and magazine Vanity Fair, which published quite a few interesting and in-depth articles about Michael Jackson by Maureen Orth, from his 1994 infamous trial to his other pedophile allegations. I remember reading all this and the disturbing details revealed during the trials, from the Jesus juice given to the children, to the 'Barely Legal' literature found in Jackson’s bedroom, have always convinced me Jackson was far from being this asexual-Peter-Pan-complex character he wanted us to believe he was.
Anyway, the Jacksons must hate Vanity Fair for having published stuff like this:
‘As dysfunctional families go, it's hard to top the Jacksons. Katherine Jackson, the matriarch, once filed a petition for divorce and withdrew it, but papers found a few years ago in a warehouse where Jackson-family memorabilia had been stored revealed that she and three of her children had had a six-figure settlement against them for beating up one of the girlfriends of her husband, Joseph Jackson. In addition to his children by Katherine, Joseph has an illegitimate daughter. Rebbie, the eldest of the nine children, reportedly once pressed charges against her father for sexually molesting her when she was 12. Jackie, the eldest son, once suffered a broken leg when his first wife ran over him with a car after having caught him in bed with the singer Paula Abdul. Jermaine, a convert to Islam, has a girlfriend and two wives, one of whom, Alejandra, is in the process of divorcing him. She has one child, Jermajesty, with Jermaine and two with Jermaine's brother Randy, to whom she was engaged before Jermaine stole her away. In 1994 brother Tito's ex-wife drowned in a swimming pool, and her older lover was convicted of murdering her. At the 2004 Super Bowl, Janet caused a nationwide scandal with her "wardrobe malfunction." In 1989, La Toya left home, married her manager, wrote a tell-all book about the family, then returned to the fold, recanted, and accused her husband of beating her. Police recently questioned at least one of Michael Jackson's nephews about his relationship with his uncle.’
The latest episode concerns Janet Jackson, who, according to the magazine, delayed her brother’s burial because she wanted her $40,000 deposit at Forrest Lawn back. The revelation comes from Randall Sullivan’s upcoming Michael Jackson biography, and pretends that Janet had made this deposit to secure a place for her brother, but refused to let the funeral take place until she would have her money back.
Of course, Janet Jackson is denying everything and her lawyers are requesting a retraction and an apology from Vanity Fair
But the article is revealing even more bad blood in the family. According to the author, the first thing Katherine Jackson did when she arrived at the house where Michael died was to call the ex-nanny Grace Rwaramba to ask her: ‘Grace, the children are crying. They are asking about you. They can’t believe that their father died. Grace, you remember Michael used to hide cash at the house? I’m here. Where can it be?’
If it's true, what an old harpy! Rwaramba said that Michael used to hide his cash in black plastic garbage bags, and interestingly, a guy from a private security company said he saw La Toya and her boyfriend loading black plastic garbage bags into duffel bags and placing them in the garage! This family is so fucking incredible! There is even more revelations, like the real story behind Katherine’s abduction – an attempt by Janet and sibblings to gain control on the children and so to gain access to Michael’s money – or the story of the will which just showed up after Jackson’s death according to one of the numerous lawyers involved with the story… Of course, nobody knows where the truth is exactly, since this family is surrounded by so many scandals and lies, but I am sure every page of this book is juicier than the previous one.
