Live On Letterman,” KISS October 10, 2012

The Live On Letterman” webcasts have now surpassed 130 million views to date online, marks its 50th webcast with KISS’.  KISS.  A bunch of really old guys in make up.  What is it about this band that makes them the cockroaches of rock and roll.  They'll die and still tour and acquire new fans on a daily basis.  Its pure magic what these guys are able to pull off.  They never 'broke up' or 'went on hiatus' they're just always around doing something and in the news.

I suppose Letterman chose a good benchmark band for the series that has also featured Pearl Jam, to Paul McCartney on the marquee of the Ed Sullivan Theater, Foo Fighters, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Adele and more, all staged in an intimate and setting for the whole world to watch in their pajamas.

I'm tempted to tune in for this one just to get a glimpse of these guys.  I have to admit I really liked Gene Simmons; Family Jewels, television series and I'm sorta surprised we arent hearing more from his son Nick.  Actually all of them have been rather on the down low since Gene married long time gal Shannon Tweed.  Maybe that was a mistake?

Anyway, KISS’ “Live On Letterman” webcast will precede their appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, which will be broadcast that same evening, Wednesday, Oct. 10 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on CBS.
